    Overview:

    PCSI is looking for a Custodian at Schriever Space Force Base! This position is responsible for performing janitorial/custodial duties for various buildings and related areas. Quality customer service must be always provided to the client. This position will report to the Project Manager and is based at Schriever Space Force Base in Colorado Springs, Colorado.

    Typical work hours will be Dayshift: 5:00am - 1:30pm; Night shift: 6:00pm - 2:30am; Weekends/Holidays maybe required. Base Pay is $17.38/hr. Benefits: Medical, Dental, Vision, Short-Term and Long-Term Disability, Pension, 10 paid holidays, vacation, and more!

    What You'll Do as a Custodian:

    • Vacuuming, sweeping, and mopping of flooring and stairs.

    • Clean and sanitize bathrooms.

    • Clean sinks, countertops, microwaves, and refrigerators in break rooms.

    • Restock supplies in bathrooms break rooms and common areas.

    • Empty all trash cans and replace liners, clean receptacles as necessary.

    • Dusting and cleaning office desks and furniture that are not cluttered.

    • Cleaning windowsills and windows.

    • Maintain janitor closets in a clean, organized, and safe manner.

    • Maintain janitorial equipment in a clean, safe, and operable condition.

    • Proper labeling, dilution, and use of all chemicals.

    • Wearing proper Personal Protective Equipment at all times.

    • Other routine duties as assigned

    What You'll Need to Be Successful:

    • High School Diploma or GED

    • Six months or more recent related janitorial experience.

    • Valid Driver's License required.

    Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

    • Ability to use general cleaning equipment such as a mop, broom, vacuum, duster, pail, buffer etc.

    • Ability to use general cleaning equipment as outlined in procedures to ensure proper usage and safety.

    • Must be able to read and follow proper dilution rates for cleaning chemicals provided.

    • Must be able to maintain assigned equipment in satisfactory and working condition.

    • Ability to read and understand the "Safety Data Sheets" (SDS) for all chemicals and solutions used during working hours.

    • Ability to follow policies and procedures in place to perform duties assigned.

    • Ability to work as a team member and independently to complete daily tasks.

    • Ability to assist and communicate with others as needed and establish effective working relationships.

    • Ability to climb, bend, squat, lift and carry objects ranging from 10-60 pounds. Occasionally push objects up to 100 pounds; prolong walking up to 90%.

    Other Requirements:

    • Ability to pass criminal, drug, and driving screening.

    • May be required to work in aseptic areas and outside in inclement weather as needed; exposed to various dirt, debris, and odors, as well as cleaning chemicals.

    • Ability to work any time or day of the week, including weekends and holidays.

    • Possess valid driver's license and maintain good driving record.

    • Ability to obtain and maintain security clearance and base access to assigned site(s).
