Sanitation Technician

Overnight sanitation of walls and equipment must be available to work nights.

Description:

Responsible for properly sanitizing industrial processing equipment/machinery, internal facility, drains, etc., within plant including disinfecting, spraying, scrubbing, and sanitizing to GMP standards. Removes food waste and trash from plant after finishing shift operations and disposes them in the designated areas outside the processing plant.

Disassembles and assembles equipment (not requiring tools) for cleaning and disinfection; and prepares and handles chemical solutions properly to disinfect machinery, containers, and facility in general.

Sprays, scrubs, cleans, and disinfects contact and non-contact surface of equipment, containers, utensils, walls, floors, drains, ceilings, lamps, tubes, pipes, etc., following SOP's and industrial safety standards.

Removes water excess and/or condensation from walls, floors, ceilings, pipes, etc.

Ensures safe work practices by following safety rules and regulations.

Reports any unsafe act or unsafe condition to food safety manager or labor provider representative.

Additional Skills & Qualifications:

Responsible for properly sanitizing industrial processing equipment/machinery, internal facility, drains, etc., within plant including disinfecting, spraying, scrubbing, and sanitizing to GMP standards. Will be bending, stooping, climbing, lifting, moving within in a refrigerated / chilled environment throughout duration of shift. Overtime opportunity. Must be ok with working with required/provided PPE.
