The company is headquartered in Chicago and operates three manufacturing plants in Little Chute, WI, Leitchfield, KY, and Brookings, SD.Job Description SummaryThe Sanitation Agent must make sure that all equipment and parts are clean and sanitized for the next production day. Must monitor day to day pre-operational swabbing for microbiology.Essential Duties and Responsibilities+ Must attend chemical safety classes.+ Must have the ability to obtain Forklift certification.+ Change jumpers correctly before and after CIPs are ran.+ Run CIP for spray balls, Curd tank, Whey lines, Curd lines and Curd Pipe (monitor chart).+ Run CIP on whey Pasteurizer (Whey Press).+ Manually clean and sanitize Mini vats and knives.+ Clean and sanitize Volma machines, conveyors, 2 mold machine and 8 mold machine.+ Remove Volma tubes to clean out cheese, replace tubes for CIP and pull tubes back out after CIP and soak.+ Clean and sanitize floors, walls, presses, Delidder machine and belts as assigned.+ Clean and sanitize tables, chairs, stools, bowls and pans. Clean and sanitize the walls and floor of the acidification floor.+ Clean the de-molding machine, rubbing machine, table, conveyors and floors in the de-molding room.+ Clean and sanitize floors, walls, and conveyors from demolder to back side of new washer.+ Run CIP on Demold Equipment.+ Disassemble, clean and sanitize wax machine and reassemble for production+ Disassemble, clean and sanitize wrapper machine and reassemble for production.+ Clean and sanitize tables, chairs, stools, bowls and pans.+ Drain and clean out tray washer and fill it back up.+ Drain and clean cold water conveyor, screens and filters.+ Clean and sanitize cheese cooler and CIP, AQP Last day of production week.+ Follows all Good Manufacturing Practices as stated within the policy.+ Follows all Safety Rules and procedures by working safely and ensuring safety of others.+ Follows all food safety procedures.+ Follows all environmental protocols as applicable to job to prevent pollution to air, land, or water.+ Follows all sanitation procedures and work instructions.+ Follows all continuous improvement actions and rules and best practices.+ Perform other miscellaneous duties as assigned by management.Qualifications and CompetenciesMinimum education and experience required:+ Ability to understand oral and written instructions relating to sanitation operations.+ Ability to operate a variety of equipment such as a material lifting/moving hoist and hand-truck hydraulic material handling device. + Requires a High School Diploma or equivalent.+ Ability to understand oral and written instructions relating to Sanitation operations.+ Ability to function as a team member and contribute to group goals.Performance ExpectationsQuality, accuracy, timeliness, reliability, and thoroughness of work performed; ability to gain the trust and respect of management, coworkers and brokers; maintain the integrity of confidential business and product information; ability to communicate effectively and develop good working relationships with other employees is essential to accomplish goals and objectives of the department.Physical Demands The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job.While performing the duties of this job, the employee is frequently required to stand, sit, climb 10+ foot ladder or balance and use hands to touch objects or controls. The employee frequently works in hot, wet, humid conditions, near moving mechanical parts and in proximity to fumes or airborne particles and toxic or caustic chemicals. The noise level in the work environment is usually very loud.Working ConditionsWork is performed largely in a manufacturing environment. Hours of work will generally be at least 40 hours a week.
