Global Chemicals has been identified as a strategic growth area for the company with expansion opportunities in the US, Europe and developing markets, particularly Asia. Global Chemicals has 14 operational facilities in the US, Europe, and Asia, and sells a significant portion of its products through Thermo Fisher customers channels group in major Western markets.

Sign on Bonus - $1000

Candidates for this role are eligible for a $1000 Sign on Bonus after joining the Thermo Fisher Scientific, Inc. Team! (Available from May 2024 - August 2024, details provided in phone interview)

Location: Bridgewater, NJ

Shift: Mid Shift - 11:00am - 7:30pm (Monday - Friday)

A day in the Life:

• Expected to support all areas inside and outside of the facility.

• Operate floor scrubber

• Operate PIT to collect interior (vaults, aisles, large trash bins in work areas - no office or breakroom support provided) & exterior trash.

• Safely operate the cardboard bailer.

• Regularly wiping down surfaces within the work areas (guard rails, storage cabinet, racking, etc.).

• Exterior building maintenance (including walkways, parking lot, etc.).

• Maintain and replenish 5S carts / supply stations.

• Manage assigned Total Preventative Maintenance tasks (fire extinguisher, shower, eye wash checks).

• Disposing of broken pallets.

• Able to recommend cleaning and organization initiatives to department leaders.

• Operate sit down truck as needed to move pallets / materials in advance of and after cleaning activities.

• Assist with set up and break down of site events (trash management, table / chair set up and break down).

Keys to Success:

• High school diploma or GED required.

• The successful candidate will have previous warehouse experience, including RF Scanning, Forklift operation, and may be required to use a respirator.

• Previous experience in a chemical environment in preferred.

Knowledge, Skills, Abilities

• Candidate must be comfortable working in an environment with hazardous and non-hazardous materials.

• Effective verbal and written communication skills including detail orientation and accuracy in documentation.

• Ability to work alternately in a seated or standing position is required.
