    UW Medical Center-Northwest - Environmental Services has an outstanding opportunity to hire LINEN SERVICES ATTENDANTS (MATERIALS HANDLING AIDE II) to join us in our new Center for Behavioral Health and Learning building. WORK SCHEDULES AVAILABLE

    • 16 hours per week, Day Shifts, 7:00 AM - 3:30 PM, includes weekends and holidays The anticipated start date for this position is July 2024. The Center for Behavioral Health and Learning will open to patients in spring 2024.

    • Organize, direct, coordinate, and control the activities of the Environmental Services linen, equipment, and supplies

    • Be a part of a team dedicated to supporting UW Medicine where Patients Are First ABOUT THE CENTER FOR BEHAVIORAL HEALTH AND LEARNING The new UW Medicine Center for Behavioral Health and Learning , opening on the UW Medical Center - Northwest campus in 2024, offers an unparalleled opportunity to transform mental health care and to improve mental health care training in our state. Located in North Seattle, the new facility will feature 70 longer-term adult psychiatry beds, 30 geriatric psychiatry beds, 50 medical/surgical beds focused on patients with psychiatric comorbidities, and a state-of-the-art neuromodulation program. It will also house an interdisciplinary training and workforce development program focused on preparing and supporting the next generation of behavioral health providers for Washington State. The six-story building will be a beautiful place to work with lots of windows, natural lighting and open-concept spaces and will offer amenities including a new kitchen and dining area for patients, staff and visitors.

    PRIMARY JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

    • Rearrange stock to accommodate inventory movement; use hand dollies and pallet jacks to move stock and equipment

    • Deliver supplies and equipment to the user departments in an efficient and timely manner

    • Restock utilizing proper rotation, organization, documentation, and location of stock items

    • Maintain inventory, ordering records, and cost records; periodically take physical inventories and notify supervisor when to reorder

    • Make corrections, deletions, and adjustments to quantities of materials stocked in relation to the par level replenishment systems throughout the facility

    • Properly handle and store sterile supplies

    • Deliver clean linen carts for patient care units and clinics within the hospital

    • Restock and build clean linen carts

    • Meet laundry trucks and ensure all orders are correct

    • Maintain and keep accurate records of linen stock levels REQUIRED POSITION QUALIFICATIONS
