    Complete Description

    Responsible for assisting Technician II, III, and Lead in operating lawn equipment, inspecting assigned areas, operating and repairing irrigation systems, mowing and trimming of grass, hedges, and trees. Primary duty is to maintain the grounds and associated areas for the hospital. Additional duties will include moving of equipment and storage. Other duties can be assigned by Supervisor and Director of Plant Operations. These duties could include change ceiling tiles, change light bulbs and plumbing issues. Reports to Lead and Plant Operations Supervisor.

    High school diploma or equivalent preferred but not required. Must be able to read and write English

    One to two years experience in professional grounds maintenance and lawn care. Healthcare facilities maintenance or industrial maintenance is a plus. Basic knowledge of Grounds care equipment and skilled in proper lawn care. Excellent customer service skills required.

    Current California State Driver's license. Must have no more than one (1) moving citation in a three (3) year period; must have no more than one (1) at-fault accident in a three (3) year period. Accidents will be considered at-fault unless evidence is provided (i.e. police report and/or letter from insurance company) showing the incident as not at-fault.
