  • Description

    Essential Duties

    • Operate safely and in compliance with all established HSSE policies and procedures

    • Sweep, collect and dispose of trash from work areas including floors, trailers, entryway, and offices

    • Shovel snow from entryways and receiving ramp, apply ice melt to ensure safe footing

    • Perform hazard assessments for the cross dock building and communicate deficiencies to the Anchorage Facilities Manager

    • Clean trash from outside of dock doors

    • In the Winter, remove snow from under yard gates

    • Perform other work related duties as assigned by the Facilities Manager

    Qualifications

    • High school diploma or GED

    • Previous labor experience preferred

    Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities

    • Ability to read, write, speak and understand English

    • Good written, verbal and listening skills

    • Customer service oriented

    • Ability to work independently

    Working Environment

    This position works in a terminal facility, office and yard setting, with regular outdoor exposure. The role routinely uses basic tools and cleaning equipment. Regular exposure to weather, dust, hazardous chemicals, materials, and airborne pathogens, with frequent walking, bending, lifting, pushing and pulling.
