Environmental Services Tech

Amergis Healthcare Staffing is seeking an Environmental Services Technician to perform a wide range of custodial and maintenance duties in order to provide clean,orderly and safe environment. They are responsible for maintaining the overall cleanliness of an area(s).

Responsibilities

• Follows established practices to properly clean and sanitize restrooms

• Understands and adheres to OSHA specific guidelines

• Ensures restrooms are stocked with proper toiletries and products

• Assists with inventory control of products

• Performs routine cleaning that involves, dusting, mopping, sweeping, vacuuming, carpetshampooing throughout facility, including patient rooms

• Follows appropriate guidelines in the handling of cleaning chemicals and/or supplies

• Performs minor maintenance as applicable

• Routinely empties wastebaskets and ash trays

• Handles and properly disposes recycled materials

• Performs other duties as assigned/necessary

Requirements

• One (1) year of hospital custodial experience preferred

• High school diploma preferred

• Ability to effectively elicit/provide information to and from appropriate individuals (including,but not limited to, supervisors, co-workers, clients) via strong communication skills; proficiencyin the English language may be required

• Computer proficiency required

• Must be at least eighteen (18) years of age
