Job Description
JOB FUNCTION / PURPOSE
The Porter is responsible for the support of the community common areas as described by the responsibilities below and as directed by the Community Manager. Hours will vary- approximately 20-30 hours per week.
PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES
Cleans and maintains the interior and exterior of the buildings. Including sweeping, mopping, dusting, emptying trash cans
Trash removal
Pressure washing
Debris pickup
General curb appeal and property upkeep
Set up and tear down for events and activities, including moving tables and chairs, according to event schedule.
Clean and organizes maintenance closets.
Other duties as assigned.
Willing to work a varying schedule/additional hour based on special events and community needs.
EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE and SKILLS:
Education/Experience: High School Diploma or GED
Licenses/Certifications: Valid Driver's License and Vehicle Insurance. Other licenses may vary according to specific site and assignments.
Technical: Ability to follow manual & operating instructions. Basic proficiency with Microsoft office applications and internet. Knowledge of various cleaning products and when to use them. Knowledge of safety guidelines when working with chemical cleaners.
Communication: Communicates clearly & professionally. Contributes to a positive internal & external customer experience, willing to help others. Maintains composure in challenging situations.
Problem Solving & Quality: Pays attention to detail. Identifies & solves problems. Escalates issues to Community Manager accordingly. Checks work for quality. Good organizational skills.
Managing for Results: Works well with supervision. Takes projects to completion. Follows all company policies and SOPs. Manages multiple tasks.
Leadership & Initiative: Demonstrates a positive attitude. Acts in accordance with company vision, mission &values. Takes accountability for own performance. Willing to take on additional assignments. Excellent time management skills.
Physical Demands
Must be able to: frequently lift 50-60 pounds, such as, but not limited to, tables and chairs, climb stairs and ladders.
