Community Maintenance Porter Part Time

Job Description

JOB FUNCTION / PURPOSE

The Porter is responsible for the support of the community common areas as described by the responsibilities below and as directed by the Community Manager. Hours will vary- approximately 20-30 hours per week.

PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES

• Cleans and maintains the interior and exterior of the buildings. Including sweeping, mopping, dusting, emptying trash cans

• Trash removal

• Pressure washing

• Debris pickup

• General curb appeal and property upkeep

• Set up and tear down for events and activities, including moving tables and chairs, according to event schedule.

• Clean and organizes maintenance closets.

• Other duties as assigned.

• Willing to work a varying schedule/additional hour based on special events and community needs.

EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE and SKILLS:

• Education/Experience: High School Diploma or GED

• Licenses/Certifications: Valid Driver's License and Vehicle Insurance. Other licenses may vary according to specific site and assignments.

• Technical: Ability to follow manual & operating instructions. Basic proficiency with Microsoft office applications and internet. Knowledge of various cleaning products and when to use them. Knowledge of safety guidelines when working with chemical cleaners.

• Communication: Communicates clearly & professionally. Contributes to a positive internal & external customer experience, willing to help others. Maintains composure in challenging situations.

• Problem Solving & Quality: Pays attention to detail. Identifies & solves problems. Escalates issues to Community Manager accordingly. Checks work for quality. Good organizational skills.

• Managing for Results: Works well with supervision. Takes projects to completion. Follows all company policies and SOPs. Manages multiple tasks.

• Leadership & Initiative: Demonstrates a positive attitude. Acts in accordance with company vision, mission &values. Takes accountability for own performance. Willing to take on additional assignments. Excellent time management skills.

Physical Demands

Must be able to: frequently lift 50-60 pounds, such as, but not limited to, tables and chairs, climb stairs and ladders.
