    QUALIFICATIONS

    • Must possess a true desire to satisfy the needs of others in a fast-paced environment

    • Refined verbal and written communication skills.

    • Demonstrated ability to effectively interact with people of diverse socioeconomic, cultural, disability, and ethnic backgrounds.

    • 2 years of Hotel Management experience.

    • Service oriented style with professional presentations skills.

    • Hotel/Hospitality degree an asset.

    • Must possess the following strengths: high energy, entrepreneurial spirit, motivational leader, effective communicator, effective in providing exceptional customer service and ability to improve the bottom line.

    • Must be proficient in Microsoft Word and Excel.

    • Must have excellent organizational, interpersonal and administrative skills.

    The Role

    The Assistant Rooms Operations Manager - Housekeeping is responsible for oversight of day-to-day processes of housekeeping and laundry, while also assisting guests whenever necessary. The role will have exposure and responsibilities in primarily Housekeeping and Laundry, with additional oversight in Front Office, Guest Services, and Transportation. Duties and responsibilities include but are not limited to:

    • Manage all functions related to the cleanliness of the hotel, including guest rooms, public areas, and back-of-house (non-kitchen areas), as well as the laundry operation (hotel linen, spa linen, and guest laundry).

    • Upholding encouraging culture, an environment of inclusivity, colleague and guest engagement.

    • Anticipating business opportunities to enhance guest and colleague experience.

    • Implementing and maintaining wellness-focused initiatives and programs within the resort

    • Resolving guest concerns

    • Coaching and counseling

    • Maintaining departmental standards

    • Staff development, interviewing/hiring, and supporting the team members with their respective areas.

    • Maximizing room revenue through Front Office collaboration to maximize upsell potential

    • Creative problem solving for efficiencies - ensuring we have the right people in the right place, at the right time.

    • Insures proper staffing levels and scheduling for customer service goals

    • Perform all tasks of a Housekeeping and Front Office as needed to facilitate service

    • Overseeing the operation and maintenance of outside labor, property wide pest control, and overnight cleaners.

    • Managing expenses and inventory, with consideration to deliver the highest level of guest experience.

    • Conducts department meetings and pre-shifts.
