    Job Summary:

    The Administrative Assistant, Housekeeping plays a pivotal role in ensuring the smooth and efficient administrative operations of the housekeeping department at Regent Santa Monica Beach. This position involves coordinating tasks, facilitating communication, and overseeing various administrative responsibilities to maintain the highest standards of cleanliness and service.

    A little bit about your day:

    Reporting to the Director of Housekeeping, every day is different, but you will mostly:

    • Promote Regent's service philosophy and style through our people attributes.

    • Maintain impeccable personal grooming standards to uphold the property style.

    • Complete the Coordinator's checklist and hand it to the housekeeping manager.

    • Generate opera, and KYC reports essential for creating housekeeping assignments and tasks.

    • Assign housekeeping checklists and tasks.

    • Review out-of-order and out-of-service room reports and follow up on status accordingly.

    • Complete next-day housekeeping schedule and adjust staffing according to occupancy levels.

    • Communicate and follow up with the laundry department on special requests and guest priorities.

    • Follow up with overnight attendants on shift information.

    • Prepare all housekeeping logs and sign-out sheets with accurate dates and ensure colleagues fill them out correctly.

    • Communicate with the front desk on any room discrepancies and pending departures.

    • Ensure all arrivals have been assigned and follow up with room attendants on the status of the rooms.

    • Follow up on guest requests through the KYC system and ensure calls are completed promptly within 10 minutes.

    • Assign rooms for deep cleaning, shampooing, and special projects. Log service dates on housekeeping office boards.

    • Prioritize the cleaning of arrivals, queue rooms, and VIPs in the KYC system for room attendants.

    • Manage rooms on Do Not Disturb status and follow up with guests accordingly.

    • Notify and log rooms with do-not-disturb on doorbell for 24 hours and notify security.

    • Enter all engineering requests in the KYC system and follow up accordingly.

    • Manage the tracking of the Ecolab pest control program and update logs accordingly.

    • Manage the tracking of plant maintenance and care for guest rooms.

    • Assign PM shift checklist and tasks.

    • Complete PM room attendant and turndown attendant assignments for evening service.

    • Review AM room attendant assignments at the end of their shift and follow up on any concerns.

    • Create a pass on to the AM/PM coordinator and housekeeping leaders.

    • Support the management team as assigned.

    • Conduct room and laundry inspections for cleanliness as assigned.

    What we need from you:

    • Minimum 2 years of Housekeeping experience, within a luxury hotel preferred.

    • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to interact effectively with guests, colleagues, and management.

    • Detail-oriented with exceptional problem-solving and decision-making abilities.

    • Excellent ability to multitask under intense situations and manage high call volume and requests.

    • Proficient in hotel management software and Microsoft Office.

    • Ability to stand and move about the property.

    • Flexible schedule, able to work evenings, weekends, and holidays.

    What you can expect from us:

    The hourly pay range for this role is $26.50 to $27.30 . This range is only applicable for jobs to be performed at Regent Santa Monica Beach . This is the lowest to highest pay scale we in good faith believe we would pay for this role at the time of this posting. We may ultimately pay more or less than the posted range, and the range may be modified in the future. A colleague's pay position within the pay range will be based on several factors including, but limited to, relevant education, qualifications, certifications, experience, skills, seniority, geographic location, performance, shift, travel requirements, sales or revenue-based metrics, and business or organizational needs.
