AvalonBay Communities, Inc. is one of the nation’s leading Real Estate Investment Trusts (REIT’s), in the business of developing, redeveloping, acquiring and managing quality apartment communities in high barrier-to-entry markets of the United States. These markets are located in the Northeast, Mid-Atlantic, Midwest, Pacific Northwest and Northern and Southern California regions of the country. We currently own and operate approximately 50,000 apartment homes in the US and employ approximately 2,000 associates. We are currently searching for a strong Product Manager to provide ownership and strategic vision for the Clarity Budgeting and Data Warehouse software applications. This position will be based at our Corporate Headquarters in Arlington, Virginia.
Responsibilities :
This position will be responsible for the following: * Working with functional users to understand ongoing requirements, prioritize development work and liaise with technical resources to create solutions. * Manage the quality assurance for the product, working with subject matter experts and technical resources to conduct functional, regression, integration and performance testing. * Manage the security and user administration for the product. * Provide advanced level training to end users within functional groups. * Respond to any and all customer issues, including the diagnosis and resolution of issues within a customer service focused environment.
Qualifications :
Qualified applicants will posses: * Minimum 5-7 years experience with Clarity Budgeting, Data Warehousing or similar budgeting software. * A minimum of 1-2 years experience working as a Product Manager of a major software package. * A strong customer service orientation. * The ability to manage resources, both internal and external. * A strong knowledge and understanding of Accounting. * Bachelors degree or higher in a related business field (Masters Degree preferred).
