Job Classification: Research and Grants Coordinator Reports To: Director of Development - Donor and Community Relations FLSA Status: Exempt
Summary: The Research and Grants Manager will primarily be responsible for conducting research on potential organizational donors; writing and reviewing proposals, reports, acknowledgements, and other grants-related materials; and managing grants data using Raiser's Edge. Individual accountabilities and work volume will be established through the development of annual Success Objectives, within the framework outlined below.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
. Research and compile prospect information for new foundation, corporation, or organizational funding sources; make recommendations for future applications based on appropriateness and current agency priorities. . Update and compile information for use in proposal submissions through meetings with program managers, review of annual strategic plan, and external literature review. . Complete unrestricted proposals with appropriate attachments, including fiscal items, for review by the Development Director. Current number of submissions is 40-60 annually. . Maintain Raiser's Edge database tracking of all private proposal and report deadlines, submissions, and responses from funders to be used by the department in future development planning. . Review internal program proposals for content and grammatical accuracy, as assigned by the Development Director. . Prepare grants acknowledgement letters and general development correspondence. . Compile prospect research files for potential individual major donors, as assigned by the Development Director. . React to change productively and perform other job-related duties as assigned.

Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite Preferred . Exceptional writing skills . Experience doing individual prospect research . Detail oriented; able to manage multiple deadlines and assignments simultaneously
