Janitor Department: Environmental Services Requisition #: 6693 Schedule: Relief Shift: 1st/2nd/3rd Shift Hours: variable Job Details: Position Summary: Under general supervision, performs routine service duties necessary to maintain the Hospital in an orderly, sanitary and attractive condition. Responsible for floor care and heavy housekeeping duties including but not limited to vacuuming; dusting; washing walls, doors and windows; shampooing carpets and upholstery; cleans restrooms; removes soiled linen and/or trash from various areas. Qualifications: Must have valid Michigan drivers license and maintain; must be insurable by Hospital insurance; ability to follow oral and written instructions; ability required for almost constant standing, bending, stooping, and walking and for occasional lifting of moderate to heavy weights and/or operating equipment; and ability to interact with all associates, guests, and physicians in a courteous, respectful, and friendly manner.
