Job Classification: Development Coordinator Reports To: Chief Healthcare Strategist, Vital Bridges Center on Chronic Care
Summary: This generalist position carries out a diverse spectrum of development activities in the areas of special event management, grant writing, volunteer management and communications. Individual accountabilities and work volume will be established through the development of annual Success Objectives, within the framework outlined below:
Essential Duties and Responsibilities: . Coordinate 2 to 3 Vital Bridges Center on Chronic Care community fundraising events to raise funds and in-kind product donations, managing solicitations, logistics, volunteers and finance. . Create and coordinate detailed project plans with timeline and budget for events and other projects. . Manage expenses to assure appropriate ROI and fundraising goal attainment. . Directly support development and production of event collateral materials, newsletters, etc. to support fundraising and marketing initiatives. . Assist in content for and management of social media programs. . Support development of written communication materials for external use; proactively initiate communication for event and volunteer coordination. . Support the Chief Healthcare Strategist in researching, writing and submitting corporate, foundation and government grants to support the Vital Bridges Center on Chronic Care. Maintain a calendar of grant deadlines and report deadlines. Assist in compiling all materials for each grant and assuring submission compliance with grant requirements. Assure appropriate acknowledgement of all grants. . With program and development staff, identify annual volunteer needs and create and implement a recruitment plan to meet needs. Complete monthly volunteer statistics, tracking progress against plan and other reports as needed. . Respond to all phone and website inquiries regarding volunteerism. . Coordinate volunteer program to ensure optimal utilization of volunteers and expand our donor community. Complete screening interviews and process volunteer applications. Place volunteers and follow-up with site managers regarding successful integration. . Maintain appropriate, professional demeanor toward donors, volunteers, vendors, community members and participants. . Collaborate and proactively work with internal and external stakeholders towards achieving development plans and goals.

. Education and/or Experience: Bachelor's degree and one year of experience in fundraising, development, public relations and/or marketing. . Language/Communication Skills: Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from individuals and groups in verbal and written form; including managers, participants, donors, board members, and the general public. Ability to read, analyze and interpret periodicals, professional journals, RFP's and/or governmental regulations. Ability to write reports, project plans and business correspondence. . Collaboration: Ability to work well, proactively identify solutions and resolve differences towards achieving goals and plans. . Organization: Ability to develop and maintain processes and plans to effectively coordinate responsibilities, programs and projects. . Reasoning Ability: Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists. Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form.
