Job Description
- Government loan experience is required for this position FHA/VA/USDA
- They must have a solid knowledge government loan originations and documentation to work or clearing loan deficiencies.
- Requires effective communication with customers, title companies and/or internal partners for issue resolution.
- Examines residential loan documentation for accuracy, completeness, and compliance with appropriate company and secondary market investor standards.
- Evaluates credit decisions for accuracy based upon established risk parameters and in accordance with policy, program, and product guidelines.
- Provides feedback to business partners as appropriate.
- Responsibilities may include examination of several different types of lending (conventional, government-backed, home equity, etc.)
- Responds to company, individual, and investor audits.
- Assists with fraud detection prevention.
- May recommend modifications to quality assurance, underwriting, loan processing, servicing, or fraud prevention procedures.
- Generally has 2 years of experience in residential loan origination.
Requirements:
- Two - three years of experience in a loan production environment
- 2 year in Mortgage Loan Origination is required.
- Recent Mortgage Industry experience is required.
- Knowledge of conventional and government guidelines.
- Knowledge of loan origination, processing underwriting and/or closing procedures/federal lending regulations governing real estate lending.
- Ability to build or capitalize relationships with realtors, builders, accountants, attorneys and Financial consultants.
- Strong written and verbal communications skills, teamwork and customer service skills.
- Self-motivated and highly organized.
- Ability to prioritize multiple competing tasks.
- Flexibility to work extended hours during heavy workload periods.
- ENCOMPASS LOS experience is a must!
- Federal Safe act course and state licensing through NMLS eligible
